Top MLB Prop Picks 4/9
George Kirby MORE Than 5 Strikeouts
He struggled mightily in his most recent start, but that was uncharacteristic of Kirby, who is one of the best young pitchers in MLB. You should expect him to pitch much more as he did in his first start this season when he threw 6.2 scoreless innings and racked up eight strikeouts. He faces the Blue Jays tonight, who have been inconsistent offensively. They have had some good moments, but for the most part, they have struggled, so Kirby should be able to get back on track.
Juan Soto MORE Than 0.5 Runs
Soto has been everything that the Yankees thought they were getting when they traded for him this offseason. He is an on-base machine with incredible bat-to-ball skills and huge power, too. He has a .462 OBP and a 1.010 OPS. That means he is getting on base and hitting for power. Not only can he drive himself in, but he also hits in front of three big-time run producers, and every game he plays in, there is a chance that he scores a run. It helps even more than he is facing the Marlins, who have allowed the second most runs and hits this season.
Cole Ragans MORE Than 5.5 Strikeouts
This will be Ragans’ toughest matchup of the season so far, taking on a very good Astros lineup. As good as the lineup is, there are still strikeouts to be had, especially with Ragans on the mound. Since joining the Royals last season, he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, and the same can be said so far in his two starts this season. He has 16 strikeouts in 12.1 innings, recording at least six innings per start and seven strikeouts per start. This is why his getting six Ks tonight seems very realistic.
Adolis Garcia MORE Than 1.5 Total Bases
Garcia has picked up right where he left off. He was tremendous in the postseason for the Rangers and this season he already has four HRs in ten games. He is facing lefty Alex Wood today, who has an ERA over 9.00 and a WHIP of 1.92. The A’s pitching staff overall ranks as one of the worst in MLB, so expect a lot of hits and runs from the Rangers today, with Garcia being right in the middle of it all!
Elly De La Cruz MORE Than 0.5 Runs
This kid is one of the most dynamic players we have seen in years. He has elite speed and power, and he showed it off last night with three hits and two HRs, one being an inside-the-parker. When he is hot at the plate, there are not many better players in the league. He can turn a single into a triple with his elite speed, so anytime he is on base, he is in a scoring position. The Reds’ lineup has been great, especially at home, so I’m liking Elly’s chances to score a run tonight.
