Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE’s Men’s Power Rankings. With the Road to Wrestlemania in front of us now, the WWE has kicked into high gear. It’s wild that Wrestlemania is next week, which means we’ll be doing another wrestling podcast this Sunday, the 12th. For now, let’s run through the list and get you caught up on some of the most recent storylines. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
-
Logan Paul:
“The Maverick” Logan Paul and Austin Theory took on The Usos in another tag team match last week on RAW. This time it was for the Tag Team Championships, in which the Vision won, thus becoming the new tag team champions. You can bet this made the Usos mad, who will probably ask for a rematch at Wrestlemania.
-
L.A. Knight
L.A. Knight has been doing his own thing, but most recently he decided to show up on IshowSpeed’s live stream and beat him up. With Knight still focused on the Vision, it would be nice for him to somehow make it into a triple-threat match with the Usos against them. However, that would then negate the rematch for the tag team titles on the Uso’s side of things. YEAH!
-
Sami Zayn:
Sami Zayn took on Carmelo Hayes in a rematch for the U.S. Championship on SmackDown last week. After defending his belt successfully, Trick Williams decided to come out with Lil Yachty and attack Zayn. That had now led to their match at Wrestlemania next week.
-
Oba Femi:
Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar have been going at it for weeks, with Femi coming out on top every single time. This match is going to be crazy at Wrestlemania, and I could see Lesnar laying down for Femi, thus crowning him as the next “Big Thing.”
-
Penta:
Penta remains at the sixth spot after defeating Kofi Kingston in a match for the Intercontinental Championship. Penta successfully defended his title against Kingston and then decided to up the ante. Penta announced that at Wrestlemania, he will be defending his title in a Ladder Match. Now that’s something I can’t wait to see.
- “
Main Event” Jey Uso:
Jey and Jimmy Uso had a match against the Vision again, but this time they lost the WWE Tag Team Championships. Normally, you would see them get a rematch at Wrestlemania; however, I feel that there’s going to be a six-man tag team match, which will include IShowSpeed and L.A. Knight. YEET!
-
Roman Reigns:
Roman Reigns has been getting owned by C.M. Punk for the most part, outside of that beatdown he gave him when his cousins, the Usos, were there. This is usually a great sign for someone chasing the title like Reigns, who should win next week. However, if he wins, I feel Orton loses, thus making it a perfect balance for the WWE’s story lines coming out of Wrestlemania.
-
Randy Orton:
Randy Orton decided to cut a promo last week on SmackDown, where he was looking to talk more junk on Cody Rhodes. That led to their altercation that I’m going to talk about soon; this build for Wrestlemania, between them, has been amazing. I can’t wait to see if Orton can cash in another championship opportunity, cementing his legacy even more.
-
C.M. Punk:
C.M. Punk had another epic promo with Roman Reigns last week on RAW. This time, Punk was hell-bent on getting the upper hand on Roman Reigns, which he did. By delivering a GTS, Punk showed that he is not intimidated by the OTC and is more than ready for their main event match at Wrestlemania.
-
Cody Rhodes:
Cody Rhodes is the number one, pound-for-pound, wrestler in the world, and whether you love or hate it, I’m right. Rhodes’ popularity is riding at an all-time high, and with his match with Randy Orton next week, you can expect things to get even more heated this week. After being slapped by Stephanie McMahon, Rhodes went full-boar at Orton last week, which led to Pat McAfee kicking Rhodes in his junk. That only made this story more intriguing because no one knew that McAfee was going to take it to the next level like that.
