With a few hours to go before tonight’s Game 6 in Toronto, I have been trying to find an angle to make some serious money. Currently, the Blue Jays are favored -235 to win, while the Dodgers are +194. For the Dodgers to do that, they’ll need to win both games in Toronto, and those odds aren’t that great.

But before the Dodgers can do that, they have to get past game 6 tonight, and they have the right guy on the mound, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He’s already won game 2, pitching a complete game, giving up only 1 run. If he wins a second game tonight, and the Dodgers can prevail in game 7, Yamamoto will be in serious contention to win the MVP award…the only other realistic choices would be Shohei Ohtani or Freddie Freeman.

The Blue Jays have been pitching around Ohtani every chance they get, and are determined for him not to beat them. In looking at his odds, he is sitting with the team’s lowest odds, at +270. But Freeman and Yamamoto are very intriguing. With two wins, Yamamoto could very well win the award…and he’s sitting at +1200. The other intriguing option is Freeman. He’s already walked off one game with a HR…if he does it again in game 6 tonight, or game 7 tomorrow, he WILL win the award…and he’s sitting at +8000.

Throw a few bucks on Yamamoto and Freeman and hope the Dodgers come back to win it all. GO DODGERS!!!
