Monday is finally here and although most of us may dislike these mornings, a lot of us are looking forward to Monday Night RAW. We have some exciting news for the Being the Pain brand with the announcement of our wrestling podcast. Weekly, on Sunday nights, Crissi Rae and I will discuss four topics surrounding the wrestling world. The name of this podcast is the Turnbuckles of Pain, so be ready because you’ll never know what topics those will be. That being said, let’s get to this week’s power rankings so we can catch up with some of the stories going on right now. Have a great day, everyone and may the slams be with you.
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes seems to be having a Few McIntyre problems and that’s because McIntyre always gets his panties in a bunch when the WWE is overseas. That being said, Rhodes isn’t going to let these back attacks keep happening for long so expect some backlash this week, from the champ.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins and the Vision decided to spoil the promo between L.A. Knight and C.M. Punk by beating them down since they outnumbered both of them. That was until Jey Uso showed up, evening the odds.
John Cena: John Cena is going to be on T.V. this week, which means he should be addressing Brock Lesnar again. As he looks forward to his future match with Brock Lesnar, he had some choice words for the Beast Incarnate, which should spark a face-to-face encounter soon enough. For now he’ll face Logan Paul at the Clash in Paris, which is where we could see Lesnar send a message, if not sooner.
C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk started off RAW last week like I said, which led to him being interrupted by L.A. Knight. Prior to that, Punk was talking about a vision he had and most of that is being annoyed by Seth Rollins and his faction. With the Clash in Paris only weeks away, you can bet this feud is going to pick up once again, starting tonight.
Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns took the week off but that’s fine since his return has sparked a lot of interest and questions. It’s clear that the OTC isn’t in the title picture yet but his alliance with Jey Uso could lead to something at the next PPV. However, it’s not warranted since Reigns is always a high-level attraction, and if he wants his shoes back, we all know a guy.
“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey Uso saved C.M. Punk and L.A. Knight from the whooping they were getting from the Vision. Even though all of these superstars are trying to get a chance to fight Rollins, it looks like they’ll have to push that aside if any of them stand a chance against Seth and his faction. YEET!
Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed continue to make waves in the WWE by being Seth’s henchmen. However, Reed has taken a fancy to collecting shoes and is now trying to be a modern day Footlocker. I find this completely hilarious, and I’m hoping for a ladder match with a pair of shoes as the prize.
Jacob Fatu: Jacob Fatu has finally caught up with his cousin Solo Sikoa in the numbers game. Jimmy Uso was trying his best to help Fatu on his own but now that Sami Zane has shown up, the numbers are more even. The only thing that could hold this bromance up is that all of them want a shot at Sikoa’s U.S. Title.
Solo Sikoa: Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline are in trouble now that Sami Zane showed up and is part of Friday Night SmackDown now. That means the Bloodline’s game is over and with everyone looking to overthrow the U.S. Champion, you could say Sikoa’s days are numbered.
L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight interrupted C.M. Punk last Monday Night to set boundaries between them. Knight told Punk that he respects him but he didn’t like the way Punk interfered in his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins. Now that the lines are drawn, we’ll see if they make a difference between the two this week.
