Whether it’s moonshot home runs, clutch base hits, or multi-hit games that just won’t quit, these dawgs got it done. We’re breaking down the hottest players at the plate — guys who raked, slugged, and changed games with nearly every swing. Let’s look at who tore it up and made noise last week around the league, in no particular order.

George Springer (TOR – CF,RF,DH)

TORONTO, ON – SEPTEMBER 28: George Springer #4 of Toronto Blue Jays hits a single against the Miami Marlins during the third inning in their MLB game at the Rogers Centre on September 28, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Photo by Mark Blinch/Getty Images)

Last Week’s Line: .429/.500/.964/1.464, 5 HR, 13 RBI, 9 R, 1 SB

George was a hitting machine last week, with at least two hits in 5/7 games. Huge games against the Yankees on Tuesday and Thursday.

Trevor Story (BOS – SS)

Last Week’s Line: .480/.500/.960/1.460, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 7 R, 1 SB

What a week for Trev! 17 combined RBI/runs and homers in half the games he played. Story showed out in our nation’s capital on Independence Day.

Michael Busch (CHC – 1B)

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – APRIL 17: Michael Busch #29 of the Chicago Cubs bats during the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field on April 17, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Cubs defeated the Diamondbacks 5-3. (Photo by Chris Coduto/Getty Images)

Last Week’s Line: .565/.615/1.174/1.789, 4 HR, 7 RBI, 7 R, 0 SB

Another shower on the 4th of July, Busch became just the third Cub in history to have a three-homer game against the Cardinals. I love real rivalry games.

Jose Altuve (HOU – 2B,LF,DH)

Last Week’s Line: .417/.483/.958/1.441, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 9 R, 0 SB

Sure he played in hitter’s parks all week (Coors, Dodger Stadium), but so what? The only thing Jose didn’t do last week was steal a base.

Randy Arozarena (SEA – LF,CF)

Last Week’s Line: .346/.333/1.039/1.372, 6 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

I wrote a Statcast Sutds, Duds, and Weirdos last week, and I would have placed Arozarena squarely in the “Weirdos” because the Statcast batted-ball data overmatched the product on the field. Must have just been a bit of bad luck, because HEY RANDY! Six home runs last week. Six.

Aaron Judge (NYY – LF,CF,RF,DH)

Last Week’s Line: .409/.576/.909/1.485, 3 HR, 7 RBI, 7 R, 0 SB

There are no words. Just Thanos out here doing Thanos things in the midst of yet another historic season.

Bobby Witt Jr. (KC – SS)

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – APRIL 20: Bobby Witt Jr. #7 of the Kansas City Royals hits an infield single during the seventh inning against the Baltimore Orioles at Kauffman Stadium on April 20, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Kyle Rivas/Getty Images)

Last Week’s Line: .379/.419/.517/.937, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 8 R, 3 SB

I’m of the opinion that Witt is pound-for-pound the best all around player in MLB. He’s certainly one of the funnest to watch. The defense is incredible. The speed is 100th percentile. And this past week may have been the start of Witt’s trademark offensive run.

Jasson Dominguez (NYY – LF,CF,DH)

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – SEPTEMBER 28: (NEW YORK DAILIES OUT) Jasson Dominguez #89 of the New York Yankees in action against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Yankee Stadium on September 28, 2024 in New York City. The Pirates defeated the Yankees 9-4. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)

Last Week’s Line: .423/.444/.769/1.214, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 5 R, 2 SB

Solid week from Dominguez, who may be shaping into the prospect hype that’s followed him since being drafted back in 2023. He still strikes out too much, but does that even matter anymore? Okay, other than Joey Gallo, does that even matter anymore?

Seiya Suzuki (CHC – LF,RF,DH)

MESA, ARIZONA – APRIL 02: Seiya Suzuki #27 of the Chicago Cubs hits a two-run home run against the Los Angeles Angels during the fourth inning of the MLB spring training game at Sloan Park on April 02, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Last Week’s Line: .333/.407/.833/1.241, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB

Absolute shame Seiya didn’t make the All-Star team, but blame it on the fan vote. Fellow Cubs PCA and Tucker were #1 and #3, respectively, in the NL outfield vote count. And the names that followed were a who’s who of all-stars – Acuna Jr., Soto, Carroll, etc. But Michael Conforto got more votes than Seiya did. Michael. Conforto. Yeah. Anyway, Suzuki showed last week exactly why he should have been a starter.

Willy Adames (SF – SS)

Last Week’s Line: .423/.500/.731/1.231, 2 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

Willy Adames is one of the streakiest players in the bigs, and this week was no different. Adames hit safely in all seven games of the road trip and had himself an absolute weekend out in Sacramento.
