NFL: Top 10 Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates

The NFL Season is quickly approaching and I reviewed the 2025 NFL Draft. I was thinking if there was anyone who could beat out Las Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty for Offensive Rookie of the Year considerations. Here are my top 10 offensive players. Do you agree? Please let me know in the comments who I am missing.

TE Tyler Warren – Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren (84) catches the ball Tuesday, June 10, 2025, during NFL Colts mandatory mini camp at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center in Indianapolis.

It would be extremely difficult for a tight end to win ROY but Warren has the ability. If QB Daniel Jones is the starter, then I could see Warren having a ton of targets. I don’t know it the Colts can score enough for Warren to win but he does make the top 10 on ability alone.

RB TreVeyon Henderson – New England Patriots

Henderson would be in my top 5 if he didn’t have to split carries with RB Rhamondre Stevenson. Henderson is elusive and can score from anywhere on the field. The Patriot offense could score more than people think if QB Drake Maye shows improvement and WR Stefon Diggs returns to his former self.

RB Quinshon Judkins- Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (10) runs off the field during day two of NFL rookie minicamp at the Cleveland Browns training facility on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Berea, Ohio.

Judkins was great for Ohio State and should eventually beat out RB Jerome Ford to be the lead back. Can the Browns score enough for Judkins to put up Rookie of the Year-type stats? He has the speed and ability.

RB Omarion Hampton – Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers would love to run the football 30 – plus times a game. Can Hampton clearly beat out RB Najee Harris for the majority of the volume? If he does, then he could produce big numbers in this run-heavy offense.

RB RJ Harvey – Denver Broncos

I have Harvey ahead of most other backs because he should see the volume needed to be considered a Rookie of the Year candidate. His ability to catch the football should keep him on the field despite the Broncos signing RB JK Dobbins.

WR Travis Hunter – Jacksonville Jaguars

It will be interesting to see how many reps the Jaguars give Hunter at receiver. If he plays 70% of the offensive snaps, then he could be in a smash spot to rack up numbers. If he plays more snaps at defensive back, then he could be considered for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Could he win both?

QB Cam Ward – Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward (1) throws in drills during OTAs at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park in Nashville, Tenn., Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

I think Ward will have a solid NFL career, but I don’t know if it will start this season. The Titans would love to run the football as much as possible. Plus, he doesn’t have a lot of receiving weapons. Let’s see how well he can move the chains on third down.

WR Matthew Golden – Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden (22) misses the ball during the team’s first day of minicamp on June 10, 2025, at Ray Nitschke Field in Ashwaubenon, Wis.

Golden should have every opportunity to become the Packers lead receiver. Head Coach Matt LaFleur should scheme him open early and often. I see a scenario where Golden could push my top two rookies for Rookie of the Year consideration.

WR Tetairoa McMillan – Carolina Panthers

NFL Commissoner Rodger Goodell, left, with Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan selected by the Carolina Panthers as the number eight pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field.

McMillan should step in as the Panthers number 1 receiver. Expect him to lead all rookie receivers in catches and yardage. If QB Bryce Young improves, then the sky is the limit.

RB Ashton Jeanty – Las Vegas Raiders

Jeanty could be a generational talent who can score from anywhere on the field. He should step in right away and have 1,000-plus yards rushing. He is the clear-cut favorite to win Rookie of the Year.
