RB Kenneth Walker has missed a few days of camp as he is dealing with a groin injury. The Seahawks will be very careful with him as they want to make sure he’s ready for Week 1. Over the coming days I am expecting to see social media fantasy football experts overreact and drop Walker on draft boards. I am buying the dip right now as I think with some rest and rehab he will be able to start Week 1.
Rookie RB Zach Charbonnet is dealing with a significant shoulder injury. The word indefinitely has been used for his return timetable which has me a bit worried. I am not going to say he won’t be ready for Week 1 until I hear more, but I will drop him down my draft boards for now. He’s going to need more reps in the offense and with DeeJay Dallas still around, Charbonnet won’t be rushed back until healthy.
The deep sleeper might just be Rookie 7
th round RB Kenny McIntosh out of Georgia. Take a look at this clip from a recent Seahawks practice (the footage from camp starts around 1:11). I was a little surprised that the Seahawks drafted McIntosh mainly because they spent an earlier pick on Charbonnet and they already had Walker and Dallas on their roster. That said, McIntosh was a terrific player at Georgia who not only averaged 5,5 yards a carry and had 10 rushing TDs, he also caught 43 passes for 500 yards. I will be drafting McIntosh in the final two or three rounds of drafts right now just to stash him away in case Walker and/or Charbonnet miss the beginning of the season.
