Top MLB Prop Picks 4/3

Nick Pivetta MORE Than 8 Strikeouts

Pivetta is facing the A’s, who struck out 13 times on Monday and 14 times yesterday. Pivetta is also a strikeout pitcher, which makes this matchup and prop too good to pass up. The A’s also struck out an insane amount of times before Monday night’s series opener with Boston; they also had games where they struck out 13 times and 14 times in their opening series of the season vs. the Guardians. This is clearly a trend, and it’s one worth betting on.

Cole Ragans MORE Than 6 Strikeouts

Ragans exploded onto the scene last year after being traded to the Royals. All he has done since arriving in KC is blow people away with his overpowering stuff. In his first start this season, Ragans struck out nine Twins hitters in six innings, so I’m feeling good about this total of six today.

George Kirby MORE Than 5 Strikeouts

Kirby is one of the best young pitchers in the American League and is coming off a fantastic start to his season. He threw 6.2 innings, racked up eight strikeouts, and picked up the win in his season debut. Tonight, he faces a Guardians team that struck out 11 times on Tuesday, seven of which came against Mariners starter Luis Castillo.

Joe Musgrove LESS Than 6.5 Strikeouts

Musgrove hasn’t recorded more than five strikeouts in any of his outings this year; including Spring Training and his first two starts of the season. In his most recent start, he finally gave some length, going 5.2 innings, but he still only managed to strike out three batters. He has allowed 15 hits and nine runs so far in his first two starts of the season, so I want to continue betting against him until he doesn’t struggle in an outing.
