Bats

70% 3B, SS Colson Montgomery, Chicago White Sox- Has hits in 5 of his last 6 games, including a stretch where he hit a home run in 4 straight games. He now has 14 bombs in 161 at bats. His ratios leave a lot to be desired, but he’ll give you power and is an exciting young talent who could go off any week.

*69% OF Jakob Marsee, Miami Marlins- Though his strikeouts have started to pile up, he’s still wielding a hot bat and has hits in 8 of his last 10 games. He has been delivering exceptional 5-category production since his promotion.

28% 3B, SS, OF Jeremiah Jackson, Baltimore Orioles- Riding a 10-game hitting streak and impressively has hits in 15 of his past 16 games. He is also finding his power stroke a bit, as he has hit both of his home runs in this stretch of time.

28% 1B, 2B, 3B, SS Jared Triolo, Pittsburgh Pirates- Has a hit in 9 of his last 10 games, with 5 of those being multi-hit performances. His quadruple eligibility and the fact that he can provide both a little pop and speed make him worth considering in deeper leagues.

19% OF Tommy Pham, Pittsburgh Pirates- Despite being 37, Pham is still a good hitter who offers some sneaky power and speed. He’s been hot of late.

Pitchers

*74% RP Ryan Walker, San Francisco Giants- He is back to being the closer with Randy Rodriguez out for the season. He is a priority for any teams that need saves, if he is still available.

*72% SP Nolan McLean, New York Mets- 3 starts and 3 wins since his callup, with only 2 runs allowed over 20 total innings. What’s been fascinating about McLean is not just his ability so far to limit walks and rack up K’s (21 K’s/4 BB’s), but also his insanely high 68% groundball rate coupled with a very encouraging 11.4% swinging strike rate. Usually, pitchers will have one or the other, but he could be the rare arm who provides both. If he is still available in your league, you should prioritize adding him.

*66% SP Jonah Tong, New York Mets- Tong led the minor leagues in strikeouts before his callup and pitched quite well in his debut, earning a win. He is worth grabbing if he’s available.

56% SP Parker Messick, Cleveland Guardians- Both of the games Messick has pitched since his callup have been gems, with the most recent being a 7-inning shutout against Tampa Bay. He’s worth adding if you need another arm, as he looks like he’ll stick in the rotation as long as he continues performing.

*54% SP Payton Tolle, Boston Red Sox- His much-anticipated debut just happened, and Tolle did not disappoint. The 6’6” behemoth of a man achieved 8 strikeouts through just 5.1 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 earned runs. He is worth considering everywhere for his strikeout ability and potential to get wins.

39% SP Ian Seymor, Tampa Bay Rays- Just started his first game of the year, converting from relief, and pitched a 5-inning gem with 8 K’s, 1 hit, 1 walk and no runs allowed. He is getting a chance to continue as a starter and is worth a look, as he is a quality arm.
