Bats
67% 3B, SS Colson Montgomery, Chicago White Sox- With back-to-back home run games, Montgomery is now up to 12 bombs on the year in just 144 at bats. His ratios leave a lot to be desired, but he’ll give you power and is an exciting young talent who could go off any week.
*67% OF Jakob Marsee, Miami Marlins- Though his strikeouts have started to pile up, he’s still wielding a hot bat and rocking a 7-game hit streak. He has been delivering exceptional 5-category production since his promotion.
*62% 1B, 2B, 3B Lenyn Sosa, Chicago White Sox- Now up to 17 home runs through his 408 at bats with a .270 average. The fact that he plays for the White Sox is the only reason there isn’t more buzz around him right now.
52% 1B Ryan Mountcastle, Baltimore Orioles- Has underperformed all season, but looks like he could be starting to heat up a bit and currently rocking a 9-game hitting streak.
18% OF Tommy Pham, Pittsburgh Pirates- Despite being 37, Pham is still a good hitter who offers some sneaky power and speed. He’s been hot of late.
15% OF Daylin Lile, Washington Nationals- Hits in 7 of his last 10 games with a bomb and a couple of steals in that recent stretch. Plays most days and could be a decent hole filler for your outfield in deep leagues.
10% 3B, SS, OF Jeremiah Jackson, Baltimore Orioles- Jackson has hits in 8 of his last 10 games, with 5 of those being multi-hit performances. He’s now rocking a .339/.361/.492 slash with good counting stats through his first 60 at bats and just hit his first home run, though he’s been caught in both of his stealing attempts.
Pitchers
*76% SP Hurston Waldrep, Atlanta Braves- That’s 4 straight excellent performances and wins. He needs to be owned everywhere, and this is likely your last chance (if he’s still available).
*72% C, 1B Samuel Basallo, Baltimore Orioles- A phenomenal prospect who just debuted and has hits in 4 of his first 6 games. He will likely play full-time and should be considered everywhere.
68% SP Eric Lauer, Toronto Blue Jays- Although his peripherals suggest he has been playing over his head, Lauer has been able to maintain a phenomenal 1.080 WHIP so far. He just helped the Jays defeat Texas- though he needed 102 pitches over 5 innings to do so- and is now up to 8 wins on the season.
53% SP Cade Cavalli, Washington Nationals- Cavalli has a notable high groundball rate, which can help to limit potential damage done against him. He probably won’t secure many wins playing for Washington, but he was a highly touted prospect and could be a valuable arm to own moving forward.
40% SP Parker Messick, Cleveland Guardians- Had a great first game and could stick in the rotation if he continues to do well.
*32% RP Jose Ferrer, Washington Nationals- The closer now for Washington and has converted 3 saves in a row. He’s a great arm who averages nearly 98mph with his sinker and has an elite groundball rate.
27% RP Victor Vodnik, Colorado Rockies- He’s officially the closer now, but owns a scary 1.413 WHIP and plays his home games at Coors. He’s converted 4 saves in a row at least, so those desperate for help with saves might understandably want to take a chance rolling the dice.
