This Weeks Record: 2-1
Last Weeks Record: 8-9-1
Past Ten Weeks Record: 101-76-8
Jose Ramirez MORE than 8 Fantasy Points
Ramirez is one of the best hitters in the American League and is a fantasy points gold mine thanks to his 31 doubles, 33 HR, and 32 SB this season. He has a modest four-game hitting streak in which he has seven hits, four doubles, a HR, three runs, three RBI, and two SB. He is essentially matchup-proof every day and can rack up points in so many ways that it’s hard to pass on his fantasy points prop whenever it’s available.
Mookie Betts MORE than 8 Fantasy Points
Mookie has been very good since returning from a long stint on the IL. Even though he is batting only .200 in the past week, he has either multiple hits or an extra-base hit in five of his past seven games and has seven RBI during that time. He is in a great matchup tonight against Orioles lefty starter Cole Irvin, who has a 4.82 ERA and 1.41 WHIP this season. Mookie is batting .327 with a .397 OBP vs. LHP this season compared to his .287 and .393 against RHP.
Dylan Cease MORE than 6 Strikeouts
Cease leads the National League in strikeouts this season and enters tonight tied with Tarik Skubal for the most strikeouts in MLB this season. Many times, his prop will be at 7.5 or 8, and I will still be interested in taking it, so with it being at only six tonight, this feels like an excellent buying opportunity. The only reason I can think of for it being so low is that over his past three starts, he has totaled 7, 5, and 5. The thing is, in the six starts prior, he has at least six strikeouts in five of those starts and eight or more strikeouts in four of them. He has a good matchup tonight against the Cardinals.
Jake Burger MORE than 7 Fantasy Points
Burger has had his best stretch of the season over the past 30 days. Since July 28th, he is batting .290 with 12 HR, 20 runs, and 18 RBI. He takes his hot bat with him into Coors Field tonight, which gives him an immediate boost in the XBH and HR department, but it’s also worth noting that any time Burger is playing on the road, he is a much more productive player. In fewer road games than home games, Burger has more HR and more RBI on the road, and both his average and OBP jump up from .223 to .276 and .277 to .335, which are both big improvements.
