Top MLB Prop Picks 5/13

Sixto Sanchez MORE Than 3 Strikeouts

Sanchez hasn’t pitched much this season since returning from a lengthy injury. The Marlins have been cautious with his innings over his first five appearances, but he was finally allowed to go at least four innings in each of his past two appearances. As he keeps going deeper into games, his strikeout totals will rise. He has at least three strikeouts in two of his past three outings, and he has a good matchup vs. the Tigers tonight, which should help him get there again.

Kutter Crawford MORE Than 5 Strikeouts

Crawford has pitched very well this season for the Red Sox. He has excellent ratios, and he’s one of the main reasons the Red Sox have played competitive baseball. Crawford has struck out at least five batters in seven of his eight starts this season and should be able to continue that success in a matchup tonight vs. a Rays team that swings and misses a lot.

Marcell Ozuna LESS Than 6 Fantasy Points

Ozuna is having an amazing season, so the immediate thought when you see this prop is to take the over. Today, though, I am going the other way. Ozuna and the Braves are facing Shota Imanaga, who has arguably been the best pitcher in the National League this season. I see a scenario where Imanaga continues to pitch at an elite level and keeps Ozuna off the scoresheet.

Bobby Witt Jr. MORE Than 0.5  Runs

My colleague Trevor Hillstrom and I continue to agree that if this prop is available, it is a must-play. Witt Jr. has been one of the best players in MLB this season and is among the league leaders in runs scored. He gets on base and uses his speed to get into scoring position. He smacks XBH, which puts him in a scoring position, and he has the HR power to drive himself in.
