WWE: The Top 10 Wrestler Theme Songs Of All-Time

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE’s Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. I contemplated this topic as one of the themes that I would cover on our road to Wrestlemania. Since I did the Top 10 Entrances, I thought many would just think they’re the same because they go hand-in-hand. In actuality, some songs are so iconic that there is no way to avoid this since we all love singing along with these tunes. This is actually a hard subject to tackle, too, since some superstars have real recording artists sing their songs as opposed to normal themes like John Cena’s theme. So get ready because I’m about to bring the music to all of you as we listen to the world of pro wrestling.

Hulk Hogan: Rick Derringer – Real American

I might get a lot of flack for having Rick Derringer’s, Real American ranked as the most iconic wrestling theme song ever, but you’re going to deal with it, brother and sisters. Hulkamania was running wild in the 80’s as we all said our prayers and took our vitamins. However, no matter where you’re at, when you hear this theme, you automatically think of Hogan. I myself remember watching many WWE PPVs back then ending with Hogan posing as this song played loud and proud. I even say that this is the most American song ever made and shows when something is done right, there’s no denying it’s greatness. This song is so iconic that Hogan recently released his “Real American” beer which shows that when this song was released in 1985, that not only could it stand the test of time, it also makes you feel like a real american every time you listen to it.

The true testament of a theme song is that if you hear this song outside of a wrestling arena, you instantly think of this wrestler. Alterbridge accomplished this with one song that Adam Copeland still uses to this day, in AEW. This song should and would be number one on my list, if not for the next theme song. However Adam’s song is legendary and the fact that they got it right in one shot only shows that this song is one of the best wrestling themes and songs ever made.

Randy Orton: Rev Theory – Voices

People can love or hate Randy Orton but one thing we can all agree on is that we have to listen to the voices in our head when it comes to his theme songs. Even Randy’s first song by Mercy Drive, Burn in my Light, invokes that rebel deep inside all of us to rise up against corruption. His current theme song makes that clear as Rich Luzzi delivers one of the most chaotic songs ever released. It doesn’t matter if the world is designed to keep us safe, because at any moment you can catch an R.K.O. out of nowhere.

HHH: Motörhead – The Game

HHH has had a plethora of amazing songs which should put him at number three but I couldn’t deny my guy Randy Orton. However from the start, HHH’s My Time by Jim Johnston started it all before Motörhead took over. From there we were blessed by Lemmy’s voice as he sang the King of Kings and Line in the Sand which was Evolution’s theme. That all culminated with his main theme song, The Game. There’s only a few songs in this world that are this iconic and the fact that Paul Levesque had them all to himself shows his true dominance in the wrestling industry.

Cody Rhodes: Downstait – Kingdom

Right now the hottest song in all of wrestling is Kingdom by Downstait, which hits once The WWE Universal Champion starts making his way to the ring. It’s hard to compare anything else to the rush of singing this song with other fans as Cody Rhodes walks to the ring. This song can also be considered another rebel song on this countdown since Cody came to change the game as he builds his Kingdom. Now we bow to him and will follow him into his Wrestlemania match against John Cena.

Chris Jericho: Jim Johnston – Break the Walls Down

Chris Jericho has and will always be one of my most favorite wrestlers. This has led to me not only following his podcast, Talk is Jericho, but also other wild times when he is a guest in the Pod of Thunder. Jericho’s themes don’t just stop here since he’s been using Judas by Fozzy as his entrance song in AEW, up until recently. The Nueve may have lost his title recently but he’ll always have some of the best wrestling themes I have ever, ever heard.

Stone Cold Steve Austin: Disturbed – Glass Shatters

The minute you hear the glass shatter, you immediately know who’s coming out.  That means “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is coming out to whoop someone’s ass and then slam some Steveweisers. Austin doesn’t use this version of the song much but I thought it would be great to include it amongst these other composers, to make sure this article breaks more than glass.

D’Generation X: The Chris Warren Band – Are You Ready?

Are you Ready? The minute that hits all you can think of is X-Pac running out with Shawn Micheals, the “Road Dogg” Jesse James, “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn, and none other than HHH. This song not only defined the attitude era, but had a lot of teenagers revolting while listening to this song. The edge that this theme song provides is uncanny, and like the X-men, it makes us all feel like mutants.

C.M. Punk: In Living Colour – Cult of Personality

Staying with real composers as the theme, we have another iconic song that replaced C.M. Punk’s original theme, The Fire Burns. Both songs rock but the edge goes to In Living Colour’s Cult of Personality. This song was the definition in the late 80’s and features one of the most iconic guitarists ever, Vernon Reid. Chris L. from the Pod of Thunder podcast has him ranked as one of the best guitarists ever, solidifying this song’s production quality.

Mark Henry: Three 6 Mafia – Some Bodies Gonna Get It

When wrestlers make an entrance, the first thing you think of is their theme music. That leads us to Mark Henry’s theme which has David LaGreca from Busted Open, rapping these days. All things aside, Henry’s song by the Three 6 Mafia is simply amazing. I may not be a fan of the Three 6 Mafia, but this song is one of their best songs ever in my book. However I should watch what I say because I don’t want to get my wig split.
