WWE: The Most Popular Titles All-Time

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE’s Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. Since we all started this journey towards Wrestlemania, we have covered entrances, matches, venues, and meals. So, it makes it fitting that we talk about what everyone is fighting for, and that’s a chance to win a WWE title. So, let’s take another walk as we dive into the history and wrestlers that held these titles. Have a great day, everyone, and may the titles be with you.

10. The Big Eagle Title: 1998 – 2002

The Big Eagle Title was held by many during the Attitude Era for the WWE. From the giant eagle to the globe on the front, most fans remember this iconic title, especially the Undertaker holding it during these years.

9. The White Strap Intercontinental Championship: 2011 – 2019

What was once considered the working man’s title, the Intercontinental Championship belt had an overhaul in 2011 when Cody Rhodes brought back the white strap version. That belt still holds its prestige today with Bron Breakker, breaking everyone in his path.

8. The New WWE World Heavyweight Championship: 2023 – Present

Here’s another title that’s climbing up the ranks of belts most recently. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is a great-looking belt and could change hands this Wrestlemania. However, Gunther is the current champion, and I’m sure he’d have something to say about that right now.

7. The WWE Women’s World Title: 2023 – Present

The WWE Women’s World Title is another current title that has a design made for the ages. I love how shiny this title is, as well as that white strap. The current champion is Rhea Ripley but everyone also remembers Becky Lynch as one of three wrestlers that have held this title.

6. The World Heavyweight Championship: 2001 – 2014

The World Heavyweight Championship title is ranked higher on many other title lists, but for me, it shoots into the sixth position. This title was held by a ton of legendary wrestlers, with HHH being remembered as one of the main champions who held this belt.

5. The Spinner Title: 2005 – 2013

Of course, this title is linked to John Cena since he was the champ that introduced it. Themed titles have always topped the lists for me because the WWE always had a way of introducing the next era with a belt customized for the champ. This was no exception.

4. The Brahma Bull Title: 1999 – Unknown

The Brahma Bull Title never made a TV appearance but that doesn’t mean someone like myself didn’t like the design. This title was created for The Rock but was lost in the mail, eventually found, and then scrapped. Dwayne Johnson has since revealed that WWE Creative did not like the design and went in another direction.

3. The Smoking Skull Title: 1998 – 1999

Some people forget that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s reign didn’t last long, but one thing we’ll always remember is Austin slamming beers on the Smoking Skull Title. The design was simply amazing and, for me, will always define one of the greatest wrestlers ever.

2. The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: 2023 – Present

The Undisputed Universal Championship is simply a beautifully crafted belt. There’s only been two wrestlers that have held this belt so far. Those wrestlers are Roman Reigns and none other than the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes.

1. The Winged-Eagle Title: 1988 – 1998

The Winged Eagle Title is revered as one of the most iconic wrestling titles of all time. No matter what company a title may come from, nothing has more prestige than this title. On top of that, this title was also held by multiple legends leading up to the Attitude Era. One of the most popular champions was Hulk Hogan, who introduced the title. However, wrestlers like Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Shawn Micheals, Randy Savage, the Ultimate Warrior, and the Undertaker all held this iconic belt, making it legendary.
