The Mets’ first baseman offers impressive power potential, with a 40-home run capability. However, some analysts note that his value might be limited to teams seeking pure power at a potentially lower price than premier multi-tool players.

After signing a short-term deal with Detroit and pitching some of the best baseball of his career, Flaherty enjoyed a solid comeback season, posting a 3.17 ERA and maintaining good strikeout numbers. His trade to the Dodgers showcased his potential, and he’s likely to attract mid-level offers from teams like the Angels, Mets, and Cubs.

He was traded from the Marlins to the Padres mid-season and is coming off a season that showcased his elite strikeout skills despite some control issues. Teams like the Blue Jays, Rangers, and D-backs are reportedly interested in his bullpen versatility.
