Turner has been in a mini-slump, but he has good news. He faces SP Brady Singer, who has given up 29 hits over his last 25 innings. I think the Phillies score over 5 runs, and Turner is a big part of their offense. He gets a couple of hits and a double today.
Pablo Lopez, Twins UNDER 6 Strikeouts
What a difference a year makes! Lopez hasn’t been very sharp and sees his ERA at 4.47. He isn’t fooling anyone at the plate and has not had more than 5 strikeouts in 3 straight starts. He has only 10 strikeouts over his last 18 innings. The numbers say to play this under.
Jose Caballero, Rays OVER 0.5 Hits
Caballero isn’t a great hitter, but he finds a way to get a hit most of the time. He has at least one hit in 10 of his last 14 games. I know he faces SP Clayton Kershaw, but he will battle for at least a seeing-eye single.
