This Weeks Record: 0-2-1

Last Weeks Record: 11-8

Past Three Weeks Record: 34-21-2

Logan Gilbert MORE than 4.5 Strikeouts

Gilbert is having a fantastic 2024 season, posting a 2.91 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in his 18 starts. Although he is under a strikeout per inning, he has been consistent in the strikeouts he’s produced. Over his past seven starts, Gilbert has struck out five or more batters in six of them and six or more batters in four of them. The stats support him getting more than 4.5 tonight.

Steven Kwan MORE than 5.5 Fantasy Points

It’s a very odd night when Kwan isn’t producing fantasy points. It happened last night, though, which means it’s unlikely to happen again. We are going right back to him today! He is batting an amazing .358 this season with an equally impressive .413 OBP. All those hits and walks lead to runs as well, so the 5.5 number seems low, especially with this matchup tonight. He faces Tigers starter Kenta Maeda, who has a 6.71 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in his 63 innings this season.

Max Scherzer LESS than 6 Strikeouts

Scherzer has pitched well since returning from the IL, but his strikeout totals are down. We are used to seeing him post elite K/9 numbers, but I am starting to think he is not that same pitcher anymore. He hasn’t struck out more than four batters in any of his starts this season, and if you even look at last season, he didn’t strike out more than four batters in any of his final five starts, including the postseason.

Carlos Rodon MORE than 6.5 Total Strikeouts

Rodon has been inconsistent lately and has been hit hard in two of his past three outings. Even with him allowing a lot of runs, though, the strikeouts have remained. He has at least seven in three of his past four starts and eight in each of his past two starts. He has a good matchup tonight against a Rays lineup that swings and misses a lot.
