As we head towards WWE’s Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, we have some stories heating up within our men’s division that should kick off the fall with a bang. So let’s get to this week’s power rankings, which should have us ready for Monday Night RAW. Also, remember to check out our “Through the Turnbuckles” podcast, as we cover topics in the world of wrestling. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes is currently preparing for his match at Crown Jewel against Seth Rollins. So, as a bonus, he thought he would introduce himself to the Vision before he was overwhelmed by numbers. That’s when Randy Orton came out to strike like a viper and help his friend out.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch lost to C.M. Punk and A.J. Lee in their tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. Since then, he had had a face-off with Rhodes, which is leading to their match next Saturday. You can expect him to make an appearance on RAW tonight to help build this match.
John Cena: John Cena already has one of his last matches signed and booked for Crown Jewel. That match will feature Cena taking on A.J. Styles, who is a perfect opponent for him right now. You can expect another classic Cena match as Styles gets ready to carry the last real champ in an epic night in Australia.
C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk and A.J. Lee won their match on Saturday against Rollins and Lynch at Wrestlepalooza. For now, I could see them step away because I don’t think Punk is needed for Survivor Series. No matter what, we’ll see soon enough, starting with RAW tonight.
Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns remained off TV and wasn’t needed for Wrestlepalooza this weekend. I do see him being involved with Survivor Series as part of the normal feud he had within his family. Does this mean we see the OTC this week? Only time will tell.
“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey and Jimmy Uso lost pretty convincingly to Breakker and Reed in their tag team match on Saturday. After what we saw, I feel this opens the door for Reigns’ return. YEET!
Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed continued their destructive ways this weekend by defeating the Usos. After defeating the Usos and then Jimmy with L.A. Knight, the Vision is poised for their next challenge, Cody Rhodes.
L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight was the guest referee for the trash team match between the Usos and the Vision at Wrestlepalooza. Since then, Knight has addressed his differences with Jey, but to no avail. Look forward to this rivalry to heat up leading to Crown Jewel or Saturday Night’s Main
Sami Zayn: Sami Zayn defended his U.S. Championship against Je’Von Evans in Friday Night SmackDown. Evans was bouncy but not enough, as Zane beat him for the 1, 2, and 3. I can’t wait to see who Zane fights this week since each one of these matches has been amazing.
Brock Lesnar: Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena in the opening match at Wrestlepalooza on Saturday. Since then, he’s been on another hiatus, which will get him kicked from this list immediately if he doesn’t return this week. That means Jacob Fatu will be taking back his spot if this doesn’t happen.
