Happy Monday, everyone, as we all get back to work after an amazing weekend of MLB baseball, UFC 316, and, of course, the WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV. Saturday alone was a rush after seeing a lot of what I said in my MITB article was right. However, I did miss the Women’s MITB match when Naomi won it but that happens in wrestling and I can’t wait to see what she’ll do with the briefcase. For now, let’s get to this week’s power rankings as we get ready for another week of WWE wrestling. Have a great day, everyone and may the slams be with you.
John Cena: John Cena learned on Saturday that being a jerk has its repercussions. After destroying both Jey and Cody, Cena thought he and Logan Paul would have a cake walk at MITB. They were sorely wrong as R-Truth showed up masked and attacked him immediately, which led to them losing the tag team match.
“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes made sure that Logan Paul and John Cena left MITB not feeling so prime. I said that Cena forgot what it was like to lose, and boy, is he going to be mad come RAW tonight, if he’s even there. However, Jey should be bouncing around like usual, ready to put anyone who steps up in their place. YEET!
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins won the MITB match with some help from his new faction. We all know going forward that both champs should watch their back because the aura Seth is coming with these days will definitely lead to him capturing one of those titles. We’ve seen this before, so don’t be surprised when it happens.
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes teamed up with Jey to show Cena and Logan Paul that the best down they have them on Smackdown only fueled them more. That led to them winning on Saturday with no shenanigans, which helped put the American Nightmare back where he belongs in this list.
Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were both in enforcer mode this weekend as they accompanied Seth to the MITB match. They not only helped Seth secure this win but also went head-to-head with the now-defunct, New Bloodline. That was enough proof right there that the days of the Bloodline are numbered and that their new faction is now the dominant faction in the WWE.
C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk wasn’t involved much on Money in the Bank, so most likely we’ll see him running his mouth on Monday Night RAW tonight. With Summerslam and The Great American Bash coming this summer, you can bet that many people are catching a GTS this summer.
L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight fought valiantly in the MITB match and pulled off some of the greatest spots in the match. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the mega superstar himself, but unfortunately, he was alone. With no one backing him up, he was obliterated like everyone else once the New Bloodline and Seth’s faction showed up. We all know Knight isn’t going to stay quite after this so I can’t wait to hear what he had to say next. YEAH!
Jacob Fatu: Jacob Fatu did exactly what everyone wanted him to do after coming out with J.C. Mateo and evening the playing field against Seth’s faction. However, when he grabbed Solo’s ankle and prevented him from winning the briefcase, we all lost it at the party I was at. This truly shows who the next big Samoan superstar is, and it surely isn’t Solo anymore.
Gunther: Gunther has been keeping himself relevant by continuously running into Jey. They keep going back and forth with this promo ending by Jey telling Gunther that he’s going to tap him out again. Since then, Gunther has been able to take some time off since he had no role at Money in the Bank.
Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns is still off of T.V. and should be back shortly. With so many Samoans running around calling out shots, the Original Tribal Chief will be left to clean this mess up. With Fatu finally telling Solo Sikoa, “I hate you, Solo,” thus splitting up their faction and leaving Solo with only J.C. Mateo. This would be the perfect opportunity for a return, but we’ll leave those stories up to the WWE to tell.
