MLB: First Basemen Power Rankings

The 2025 season is heating up, with many players stating their case on their respective league’s All-Star rosters. Below is a breakdown of Week 9’s top 10 first basemen:

1. Pete Alonso, New York Mets

Alonso has cooled off but is third among MLB first basemen with nine home runs and first with 37 RBI.

2. Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers

Freeman is headed for another All-Star appearance, slashing .375/.435/.680 with nine home runs and 34 RBI.

3. Spencer Torkelson, Detroit Tigers

Torkelson leads MLB first basemen with 12 home runs and is second with 35 RBI.

4. Tyler Soderstrom, Athletics

Soderstrom leads the Athletics in home runs (10) and RBI (30).

5. Nathaniel Lowe, Washington Nationals

Lowe is on track for a career year, reaching eight home runs and 33 RBI in 47 games.

6. Josh Naylor, Arizona Diamondbacks

Arizona’s offseason acquisition has been on fire, slashing .308/.374/.467 with five home runs, 28 RBI, and eight stolen bases.

7. Paul Goldschmidt, New York Yankees

The 37-year-old is off to his best start since 2022, slashing .341/.389/.494 with five home runs and 24 RBI.

8. Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta first baseman is coming off a big week, raising his totals to nine home runs and 24 RBI.

9. Bryce Harper, Philadelphia Phillies

Harper continues to flourish as the Phillies’ first baseman, having reached seven home runs and 26 RBI.

10. Willson Contreras, St. Louis Cardinals
