NFL Draft: 5 First-Round Picks That Are Likely To Be Traded

The NFL draft is quickly approaching, and as it stands now, every team has their first-round pick. Of course, as the draft gets closer, and during the draft, there are always trades of picks, so here are five first-round picks that could be traded:

Jacksonville Jaguars Pick 5

Why will it be moved? The Las Vegas Raiders have the #6 pick, and it is well known that they have significant interest in Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty. If another team wants Jeanty, they will need to move to #5 to take him.

Carolina Panthers Pick 8

Many experts seem to feel that Shedeur Sanders has become a favorite of the New Orleans Saints. With the Saints picking #9, if a team like the Pittsburgh Steelers wants Sanders, they will have to trade with Carolina to get him.

Atlanta Falcons Pick 15

Atlanta needs to improve its defense badly. So badly that they might consider moving out of the first round entirely if they can stockpile picks later in the draft and in 2026. If Shemar Stewart is on the board at 15, this pick could be in play.

Minnesota Vikings Pick 24

Minnesota always seems to make a few deals in every draft and this year might be the same. If Omarion Hampton or Colston Loveland are on the board at this point, Minnesota will be looking to move down to stockpile picks.

Los Angeles Rams Pick 26

Mar 19, 2025; Tuscaloosa AL, USA; Quarterback Jalen Milroe throws for scouts at the University of Alabama Pro Day as several Crimson Tide players worked out for NFL teams in the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility.

With all first-round picks getting a fifth-year option, any team that wants to take a chance on a quarterback (Jalen Milroe or Jaxson Dart) will likely find Los Angeles eager to deal. Les Snead and Sean McVay have proven to be masters of the mid-rounds, so moving this pick is a definite possibility.
