The 2024 fantasy football season is officially over. And with that, it’s time to look back on the best-performing players in fantasy football this season. (This team is based on a lineup of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 FLEX, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, and 1 K in PPR scoring.)
QB: Lamar Jackson, BAL
The Ravens’ addition of Derrick Henry took some pressure off of Jackson in the running game, allowing him to reach his peak as a passer. Jackson has thrown for 39 TDs to just 4 interceptions, and he scored 25.5 points per game as the fantasy QB1.
RB1: Saquon Barkley, PHI
Barkley has enjoyed a career-best season in 2024. In his first season with the Eagles, Barkley has become the 9th running back ever to gain over 2,000 rushing yards in an NFL regular season. Add in his 15 total TDs, and you get the fantasy RB1 with an average of 22.4 PPG.
RB2: Bijan Robinson, ATL
A strong finish to the season allowed Robinson to climb to the RB2 spot with 19.4 PPG. From Week 6 on, he scored at least 20 fantasy points in all but two games! The versatile Robinson has emerged as one of the NFL’s best running backs in just two years’ time.
WR1: Ja’Marr Chase, CIN
Joe Burrow’s return has meant a return to top production for Chase, who leads the NFL in receptions (116), yards (1,612) and touchdowns (16). That’s an easy WR1 finish – and 23.6 PPG – for one of the best WRs in the game.
WR2: Justin Jefferson, MIN
Jefferson’s draft value as a late first-rounder seems downright foolish now. With Sam Darnold proving more than adept as Minnesota’s QB, Jefferson produced yet another sensational season – 100 catches for 1,479 yards and 10 TDs.
TE: Brock Bowers, LV
Bowers emerged in a class by himself in his first NFL season. As the Raiders’ only reliable target after the Davante Adams trade, his 108 receptions is third in the entire league. He was arguably the best value of any fantasy football player in 2024, as he was often drafted in Round 9 or later.
FLEX: Derrick Henry, BAL
Henry’s move to Baltimore has made it easier than ever for him to gain yards before contact. And after contact, he’s still the same old beast. His 1,783 rushing yards and 16 total TDs made him the fantasy RB3 with 19.1 PPG.
D/ST: Broncos
The Denver defense took off this season and excelled at making big plays. The Broncos punished offenses with 58 sacks, 15 interceptions and 9 fumble recoveries. They averaged a whopping 9.4 PPG, leading all defenses by a decent margin.
K: Chris Boswell, PIT
No kicker has attempted and made more field goals in 2024 than Boswell. Hitting 40 of 43 field goals – including 12 of 14 from at least 50 yards – it’s been a career year for the veteran, resulting in an impressive 11.3 fantasy PPG.
