In Week 12 of the NFL, some big injuries occurred. Some are more serious than others, and some will have major implications for teams trying to make runs to the playoffs.
Brian Robinson, Jr., Washington (ankle)
Robinson left the game with an ankle injury only to return to the field to get reinjured. Washington has a BYE week coming up in Week 14, so he’s likely to miss Week 13 to heal.
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay (concussion)
Doubs left the game with a concussion and will likely miss Week 13 on a short week against Miami. Look for Dontayvion Wicks moved into the starting lineup.
Josh Downs, Indianapolis (shoulder)
Downs left the game with a shoulder injury and did not return. He had over 50 yards called back from various penalties to ruin what potentially could have been an excellent game against Detroit.
Austin Ekeler, Washington (concussion)
Ekeler suffered a brutal hit in the fourth quarter, but luckily, he was able to leave the field on his own. With the Commanders on BYE in week 14, it is likely that Ekeler will miss Week 13 even if he is cleared.
Gardner Minshew III, Las Vegas (collarbone)
Minshew broke his collarbone late in the game against Denver. His season has officially been ruled over, and the Raiders will be in the market for a new starting quarterback. The team knows it cannot win with Desmond Ridder, and they will likely be one of the higher bidders for Daniel Jones’s services.
Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina (neck)
Sanders left the game after landing on his neck in a brutal fall. Luckily, he has movement of his extremities and hopefully will return at some point later in the season.
Anthony Walker, Miami (knee)
Walker, Miami’s middle linebacker, left the game with a knee injury and did not return. With the Dolphins playing on Thanksgiving Day, it is doubtful that he will be able to make it, which will be a major problem as Green Bay has a dominant rushing offense.
