Dr. Roto breaks down his picks in Tuesday night’s 12-team PPR SiriusXM Host draft.

On Tuesday night, I participated in the SiriusXM Host League draft. You can find the whole draft board here.

There were 12 SiriusXM hosts who drafted, in a PPR league. I had the fifth pick. Starting lineups are: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K, 1 Def

Here is my quick analysis:

Round 1 (1.05): RB Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

I could have taken Tyreek Hill, but I chose to employ the hero RB strategy. Austin Ekeler was an option, too, but I really want to see if Robinson has RB1 overall potential.

Round 2 (2.08): WR Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

Chris Olave went the pick before or else I would’ve snagged him. Waddle is a fine WR2 on a great offensive team.

Round 3 (3.05): WR D.K. Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

Metcalf is one of my favorite third-round picks, plus grabbing him leaves the door open for a sneaky Geno Smith stack later if I pass on a top QB.

Round 4 (4.08): WR DeAndre Hopkins, Tennesse Titans

He’s being overlooked based on his team (and Ryan Tannehill), which feels like it could be a mistake.

Round 5 (5.05): WR Drake London, Atlanta Falcons

London is going in Round 4 of high-stakes drafts. Getting him a full round later was a great value.

Round 6 (6.08): RB James Cook, Buffalo Bills

I have huge Cook FOMO. He could be the breakout star of this season.

Round 7 (7.05): RB Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs

Pacheco is a solid RB3 who I am happy to use as a flex depending on the matchup.

Round 8 (8.08): WR Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

Dotson is slowly asserting himself as one of the top young receivers in the game and should benefit if Terry McLaurin misses time with his turf toe injury.

Round 9 (9.05): WR Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens

I should have been arrested for larceny when I made this pick. I predict that Flowers will be a high-stakes sixth-rounder come Labor Day.

Round 10 (10.08): RB Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars

I am planting my flag on Bigsby being a solid RB4.

Round 11 (11.05): TE Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

I waited on tight end and was happy to get Kincaid who should roam the middle of the field and get 55% of snaps in a pass-happy offense.

Round 12 (12.08): RB Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans

He looks impressive in preseason, and I think he can get 8-10 touches a game.

Round 13 (13.05): QB Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

I got the Geno/Metcalf stack I was hoping for and waited until Round 13. Other hosts were wasting picks on their second QBs, and I still got the guy I wanted late.

Round 14 (14.08): New Orleans Saints Defense

I love the Saints for their late Week 11 Bye.

Round 15 (15.05): K Jake Moody, San Francisco 49ers

Moody is a good kicker on a good team, that’s all you need.

Round 16 (16.08): RB Keontay Ingram, Arizona Cardinals

James Conner has to slow down eventually. When he does, Ingram should get the touches.

Final Thoughts

I am really happy with this team. Bijan, Cook and Pacheco are great RBs, and my WRs might be the deepest in the league. If Geno and Kincaid play as well as I expect, there’s a great chance I make a deep playoff run in this league.
