Top MLB Prop Picks 5/14

Aaron Judge  MORE Than 7 Fantasy Points

Judge has been hot at the dish lately, and few hitters are better or more dangerous than he is when he is feeling it like this. Even when he isn’t getting hits, he is drawing plenty of walks and still scoring runs. He faces Twins SP Chris Paddack tonight, who has been very inconsistent despite his 4-1 record. Some of Paddack’s starts have been good, but some have been awful, leading to a 4.34 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP this season. The Yankees’ offense is one of the best in MLB, so this should be one of the bad starts for Paddack.

Kyle Bradish MORE Than 5 Strikeouts

Bradish returned from the IL recently, and he’s been excellent, as expected. He struck out five Yankees in his debut and then struck out nine Nationals in his second start. Tonight, he faces the Blue Jays, who swing and miss at an above-average rate and struggle against good pitching. I love Bradish tonight.

Aaron Nola MORE Than 5 strikeouts

Nola has struck out at least seven batters in four of his past five starts. He goes deep into games, which allows him to rack up bigger strikeout totals. He faces the Mets tonight, who are a good matchup for him and a team he hasn’t faced yet this season, which always favors the pitcher.

Michael Wacha LESS Than 5.5 Strikeouts

Wacha has only exceeded this number twice this season in his eight starts. He is not a flame thrower and relies more on command of his pitches and mixing speeds to get guys out. Those types of pitchers are not typically big strikeout guys, so this 5.5 total seems on the high side.
