SEC CFB Preseason Power Rankings

Texas Longhorns quarterback, Arch Manning during his first practice of the spring season on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
  1. Texas — There’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is Arch!
  2. Georgia — The Gunner Stockton era officially begins.
  3. Alabama — Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb: re-united and it feels so good
  4. LSU — The toughest schedule in the country should have Brian Kelly feeling good if he gets to 10-2
  5. South Carolina — Count me in as a believer in LaNorris Sellers
  6. Texas A&M — Mike Elko’s crew just feels a bit below the true contenders in the conference
  7. Ole Miss — I trust Lane Kiffin to win 9 games against a relatively soft SEC schedule.
  8. Auburn — I’m buying a Jackson Arnold redemption season
  9. Tennessee — Joey Aguilar is a step down from Nico Iamaleava, but the defense will still give opponents issues.
  10. Florida — DJ Lagway may save Billy Napier’s job.
  11.  Oklahoma — I just don’t trust it yet. Getting John Mateer will not erase the poor play at OL and WR.
  12.  Vanderbilt — One last ride for Diego Pavia.
  13. Missouri — The season will go how Beau Pribula goes.
  14. Arkansas — That seat’s getting awfully warm for Sam Pittman.
  15. Mississippi State — If Blake Shapen stays healthy, they won’t go o-fer in SEC play
  16. Kentucky — Mark Stoops’ seat is getting warm.
