Opening day of the MLB season in 2025 has arrived! Yes, I know there were two games played in Japan between the Cubs and Dodgers, but is it really opening day when the games aren’t being played in a teams home ballpark? Or when there is only ONE game on the slate? The answer is no! So, with that being said, here are my score predictions for opening day around the league:

Brewers at Yankees

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 23: Aaron Judge #99 of the New York Yankees points to the dugout after hitting his third home run of the game against the Washington Nationals at Yankee Stadium on August 23, 2023 in the Bronx borough of New York City. (Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)

Aaron Judge will hit an opening-day HR, leading the Yankees to a 7-3 win over the Brewers.

Orioles at Blue Jays

Both Efflin and Berrios will pitch solid games, but the Orioles will have a 4-3 lead in the 9th inning, and Felix Bautista will come in and close it out.

Phillies at Nationals

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – JULY 9: Zack Wheeler #45 of the Philadelphia Phillies throws a pitch in the top of the first inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park on July 9, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)

Zack Wheeler will pitch a gem as the Phillies beat the Nationals 6-2.

Red Sox at Rangers

Pirates at Marlins

Skenes and Alcantara both allow no runs through 5 innings, but the Marlins bullpen blows the game, and the Pirates win 3-1.

Braves at Padres

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 12: Chris Sale #51 of the Atlanta Braves pitches in the bottom of the first inning against the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on August 12, 2024 in San Francisco, California. (Photo by Lachlan Cunningham/Getty Images)

A good pitching duel between Sale and King ends in a Braves 4-2 victory.

Angels at White Sox

ANAHEIM, CA – JULY 2: Mike Trout #27 of the Los Angeles Angels bats during the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on July 2, 2023 in Anaheim, California. The Angels defeated the Diamondbacks 5-2. (Photo by Rob Leiter/MLB Photos via Getty Images)

Both teams get good production offensively, but it’s the Angels who win 8-6.

Framber pitches a good game vs. a tough Mets lineup, but the Mets score late in the game to win 5-4.

Giants at Reds

CINCINNATI, OHIO – APRIL 22: Hunter Greene #21 of the Cincinnati Reds pitches in the first inning against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park on April 22, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images)

Guardians at Royals
